Where U At doesn’t happen without incredible adults who show up, pitch in, and use what they’ve got to help create an unforgettable weekend for young people.
You don’t have to be a youth pastor. You don’t have to be on stage. You don’t even have to know exactly where you fit yet.
If you can pray, organize, welcome, create, teach, serve, lead, encourage, troubleshoot, take pictures, run sound, pass out snacks—or wash a dish—we have a place for you!

Volunteer Roles
Community Life Coordinator or Support Team
Do you have the gift of hospitality and a heart for bringing people together? Help us create an environment where everyone feels seen, welcomed, and connected through creative visuals, intentional activities, and opportunities to build community. This group goes up early to set up camp and ensure that hospitality is in place for the groups attending WUA.
Snack Team
Nothing says welcome like snacks! We ask every ministry to contribute snacks for WUA. This team will make sure that snacks are set out and cleaned up after each General Session and during free time.
i’M CREATIVE
Art Tent Team
This team of 2-3 leaders will ensure that the Art Tent is fully stocked and supervised at each free time. They will set up, clean up, and bring joy to this creative space. Bring new ideas to the conference and provide opportunities for youth to express themselves through a variety of mediums!
Drama Director and Support Team
Is there a person in your ministry who has the gift of writing short plays? We are looking for a ministry to bring our theme to life through a mainstage drama and a person who can support the director during practices and at the conference.
Program Planning Team
Love bringing great ideas to life? Join the team that helps shape the Where U At experience—we plan the minute by minute General Sessions, free-time activities, the Saturday Night Afterglow and other memorable moments throughout the weekend.
I WANT TO TELL THE STORY
Tech Team
Our tech team runs sound and video, provides multimedia support, captures photos and videos and creates social media content that can be used throughout the year.
I LOVE SERVING BEHIND THE SCENES
Kitchen Team
Help us create a warm and welcoming experience around the table! Kitchen volunteers help set up, serve meals, and clean up afterward. You’ll arrive 90 minutes before meals and stay approximately 60 minutes after. Bonus: This is the only volunteer role where your conference registration is completely covered!
I WANT TO SUPPORT YOUTH SPIRITUALLY
Prayer Team
Help cover Where U At in prayer! Churches and individuals can receive updates throughout the weekend and pray specifically for our youth, leaders, and experiences at camp. We also welcome spiritual leaders who can serve during worship and altar ministry or provide spiritual direction throughout the weekend.
Workshop Leaders
Share your gifts and experience with our young people! Workshop Leaders facilitate engaging conversations on relevant topics that help youth explore how faith and everyday life intersect.
Worship Director
This person serves as the facilitator for the worship team and provides spiritual leadership, coaching and rehearsal organization before and during the conference.
ORGANIZATION IS MY SUPERPOWER
Administration Team
If organization is your superpower, we need you! This behind-the-scenes team helps with promotion, registration, housing, communication, and the many details that keep Where U At running smoothly.
Workshop Coordinator
Help our Workshop Leaders succeed! The Workshop Coordinator serves as their primary point person, providing clear communication and making sure leaders have what they need for a great experience.
Workshop Support Team
Help make our workshops run smoothly! We need nine adults to set up workshop spaces, help youth find their sessions, support presenters, and collect student feedback
I LIKE KEEPING PEOPLE SAFE
Security Team
Help us create a safe environment where youth can relax, have fun, and fully experience the weekend. We’re looking for eight trusted chaperones to serve flexible security shifts throughout the conference.
Medical Team
Help us care well for everyone at camp. Each year, we need a Registered Nurse or Medical Doctor who can be available throughout the weekend to respond to medical needs and support the health and safety of our youth and leaders.
